Digital Channels Reaction Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification than originally posted due to the recalibration. Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with similar services. They have suggested members to check their listings and update the measurements by hand when needed, causing user dissatisfaction. Sizing System Updates Before the change, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10. With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - for example a size L was previously a 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Member Experiences A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. A different member, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she said. Required Changes Charlotte Lunn, located in England, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she stated.
